November 1995

A new art gallery with the name “Tzamia-Krystalla” was established at Chania Crete.

An art gallery that through highly aesthetic choices has become acknowledged and appreciated from it’s beginning. Exhibitions of Greek Contemporary Art, music nights with well-known artists, theater and dance performances, describe its extensive course that was initiated in November 1995.

“Tzamia-Krystalla” Art Gallery: The art gallery with the unique name, moved after 13 years to Fira on the island of Santorini in April of 2008, continuing its extensive course that began at 1995 in Chania Crete.

Since April 2021 art gallery is located at the village of Kamari Santorini,with a new name and a new corporate form at Panagias Mirtidiotissis str. on the pedestrian street at the New Mall.
With our new name t.k.place art gallery santorini, we carry on here, loyal to our vision of good quality without compromise in the Greek Contemporary Art.

Paintings of established and newer well-known artists. Ceramics and ceramic sculptures created by the leading ceramist Manousos Chalkiadakis, special and unique handmade jewelry by selected contemporary designers that co-operate with museums and well-established galleries. Objects of art, gifts, souvenirs and textiles, made exclusively by creative artists who have collaborated with us for years contribute towards our efforts to promote art as a way of enriching and enhancing the beauty of our everyday lifestyle.

t.k. Place Art Gallery has opened its doors in the Old Town of Parikia, Paros

in April 2026, in the Old Town of Parikia, Paros.

A gallery is never merely a space.

It is the people who built it, the hands that hung the artworks,

the conversations that took place within its walls,

and the moments of silence before something truly beautiful.

In 1995, Nikos Grafas and ceramic artist Manousos Calkiadakis

founded the Tzamia-Krystalla Art Gallery in Chania, Crete —

a place dedicated to contemporary Greek art, dialogue,

music, human encounters, and the beauty that creativity brings into our lives.

I became part of this story in 2001.

For more than twenty years, t.k. Place Art Gallery became an integral part of who I am.

In April 2024, Nikos passed away.

Some journeys come to an end.

Others ask to be continued.

After two years that were difficult, restless, and yet profoundly quiet — two years that proved necessary — I made a decision.

And after a long period of silence, the kind that grief demands, something began to move within me.

Not an ending.

A passage.

Today, t.k. Place Art Gallery continues its journey in the Old Town of Parikia, on the island of Paros.

A place rich in history, set within an authentic Cycladic landscape, where art meets the light of the Aegean and the rhythm of island life.

Narrow stone-paved alleys, whitewashed houses, stillness and movement existing side by side.

A place that invites you to pause, observe, and feel.

Our new home occupies a small building dating back to the early twentieth century. For decades it served as a neighbourhood grocery shop and formed part of the everyday life of the town.

A place that once nourished a community now opens its doors to art.

“Some walls remember everything.”

This is not a new beginning.

It is the continuation of a vision, a friendship, and a love for art that never needed permission to exist.

We have changed harbours.

The course, however, remains the same.

I look forward to welcoming you to our new space.
